The Proposal
A Neighborhood, Lit by Its Own Hands
Light Up Brooklyn is a lantern program for Brownsville: a series of workshops where residents design and build their own lanterns, closing with a night procession that carries them through the neighborhood together — a tradition with deep roots in Asian festival culture, remade by and for the people who live here.
Where it stands: the proposal has been submitted and is in review. When it is confirmed, this page will carry the workshop schedule, the procession route, and registration.
